About Me

IMG_0556Raised in a family of artists (singers, musicians, writers, and quilters) the creative influence was in my blood, and resistance was futile. I’ve just finished my first novel, Learning Levitation. It doesn’t fit in a traditional science-fiction genre, rather an evolving one. Science fiction romance. Usually, SFR follows formula,  combined with science from soft to hard, sometimes military and political aspects, and always adventure in fantastic places. Usually there is a happy ending or at least a semi-happy ending. I’m querying now for traditional publication but I’m keeping my ear to the ground. The epic battle between agent driven publishing, brick and mortar stores, and e books is raging. Remember Tower Records vs. iTunes? Anything can happen now!

I’m fortunate to live in Northern Colorado, one of the most beautiful places on the planet. Hence, all the visitors this summer. The landscape here inspires me with its mountains and high desert climate which appear in both my novels, finished and unfinished. When I’m not at home with my husband and animal companions, I’m working an IT job, writing or reading.

At the moment, I’m reading a variety of fiction: Daniel Silva, David Hewson, and C.J. Box. All mysteries. I see a trend!

  1. Nice to meet you!
I have always scribbled and scratched out stories since I was young but it wasn’t until I retired and my mother died that I realized life it was up to me to walk the talk and concentrate on writing. I so wish I had started much younger but then maybe I’m just a late bloomer and wouldn’t have been ready back then–not to say I know if I’m ready now.
